How is your summer going? Mahalo nui loa (thank you from the heart) to all of those of you who sent me birthday wishes last month. Mahalo nui loa as well to the people who sent back there gratitude for the I'O energy I sent from the ancient I'O heiau and for the ARCH energy I sent from the Kahuna Healing Stones.I know that we are all frustrated regarding the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf. What is the bigger message and lesson from this? Part of it is at what cost (literally and figuratively) are we willing to keep our reliance on oil? The US and the world need to wake up and use and support alternative energy. Do you know that in other countries hybrid cars are sold that get over 100 miles per gallon. Even Ford sells one in Europe that averages 67 MPG. I just bought an '07 Honda Civic Hybrid that has gotten up to 81.3 MPG! We all need to start doing our part!
I went over to the Big Island to see my friends and to celebrate Father's Day and my Birthday with my hanai (adoptive) Papa, Ku Kahuna Lokahi, and his beautiful wife Lilikoi (see smile of the month :)). Papa and LiliKoi gave me 4 presents: a book of spiritual quotes for my Higher Self, a Johnny Carson DVD for my Middle Self, a decadent European chocolate bar for my Lower Self, and a long stem rose for my Divine Feminine Self. What fun!
The ancient Kahunas taught that all 3 parts of ourselves, The Higher Self, the Middle Self (Parent Self) and the Lower Self (Child Self/body personality) must work together for our life to be pono (correct and in balance). See meditation of the month.
I also went to an ancient I'O Heiau on the Big Island and had a huge transformative experience. See experience of the month.

I asked Spirit what I should get my hanai papa, Ku Kahuna Lokahi for Father's Day. It said, "a large smiling Ku Tiki." I chuckled because all of the Ku Tikis are wrathful and warlike ones with big teeth. I asked Spirit where to find it, it said, "Paia (a town near us) at Sea and Sand." Sure enough there it was smiling at me. I somehow managed to get the 26 pound tiki over the the Big Island. I didn't realize however, that we would be taking a crop duster plane to get over there with only 9 passengers. Maybe I should have just bought an extra seat for it. :)
Meditation of the Mahina (month):
Go into meditation
- Go into Meditation.
- Tune into your Lower Self (child self/body personality) and ask it what it needs from your Middle and Higher Self.
- Tune into your Middle Self and ask it what it needs from your Lower and Higher Self.
- Communicate with your Middle Self what your Lower Self needs.
- Tune into your Higher Self and ask it what it need from your Lower and Middle Self.
- Communicate with your Higher Self what your Lower and Middle Self needs.
- Go back and communicate with your Middle Self what your Higher Self needs.
- Go back and communicate with your Lower Self what your Higher and Middle Self needs.
- Ask each if they will all work together for your highest good.
- Come out of meditation.
ARCH/I'O 'IKE (experience) of the Month I was called by Spirit to go to a particular Heiau on the Big Island that originally was an I'O Temple with I'O Kahuna Priests and Priestesses. It was at some point taken over by the Ku Kahunas at a time when they were very wrathful and war like. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I kept being pushed to make sure I went. When I got there, which was an arduous journey with many seemingly challenging obstacles, the outer layer of energy seemed dark. Underneath, however, the I'O mana was clearly present. Kristi and I did many chants asking for permission before going in. Once I got in, I was immediately pulled up to the alter, as if by a force greater than my own. I then felt the presence of the I'O priest and priestesses. They said that they had called me there to help transform the mana at the heiau back to its original state filled with I'O. They said that they called me in particular, because I was a Ku Kahuha Nui (head of the order) and needed to ask for forgiveness for all of the sacrifices that were done here by the wrathful Ku Kahuna and because I carried the mana of I'O. With tears in my eyes I begged for forgiveness for what had occurred. Then, they filled me with even more Divine I'O mana that spread out to fill the entire Heiau and grounds. I then sent some of it to all of you. I hope you breathed it in, if not, it is not too late, breathe it in now.
They then told me, that in gratitude, they were gifting me a niho palaoa, which is a tongue shaped pendant usually carved out of whalebone which gives one "the authority to speak" and is worn by the Kahuna nui (high Kahuna). They indicated that it would be made out of white coral. I assumed that they were giving me this energetically. I was then instructed to open my eyes and to look down. Before me about 6 inches in front of me on the ground laid a piece of white coral shaped like a niho palaoa. I wept with gratitude for this great honor.
This is all greater validation and acknowledgment of our work (play) with I'O and I'O mana.

Uri"I felt the energy come through - it almost knocked me off my feet! I said, "oh, something's up with Mother Uri." I then grounded myself and ended up eating a rather large lunch shortly after that. What an amazing experience! Mahalo nui loa for telling us what it was! Debra
