Hau'oli La Ho'omaika'i - Happy Thanksgiving!We just got back from our Spiritual Retreat in Sedona. The 40 of us included a Hopi Indian, Paboowie (who just recently moved out of his teepee and into a cabin) and Steven Paulk (who is trained in the Native American traditions) and of course Cosmic Mother.
Most of you probably have heard about 3 people dying and 19 people being hospitalized in Sedona as a result of a sweat lodge lead by a teach from "The Secret" just 2 weeks ago. We all knew that we were called to Sedona to help with the healing of this event. We made offerings and asked for forgiveness of the Indian ancestors in spirit for the white people's actions both present and past that dishonored the native Americans. Healing energy was sent and Paboowie got (in his dream time) that it was accepted for the whole situation.
Paboowie and Steven performed powerful Hopi ceremonies on sacred Indian land at 2 of the vortexes we visited. All felt greatly honored and blessed to have Paboowie and Steven helping us facilitate the healing.
We (Laurie and CM) did ceremonies at 4 other vortex sacred sites where we all got messages from spirit for our own growth and healing and the healing of our ancestors. Also, at least two people experienced amazing physical healings. From Cosmic Mother, we were given an opportunity to find out what our kuleana (privilege and responsibility) is for the 2012 transformation.
We are very thankful for all of you joining us in Oneness. We are all One Tribe, One Ohana (family).

So, rather than adhere to the big benefactor approach to giving where a rich person gives money or "things" to less advantaged people (which typically creates dependency), Outreach works to change a poor person's view of himself and what he is entitled to create for himself and his community.
** Much like ARCH, Outreach tends to focus on pulling women together. It has recognized that poverty tends to emasculate men and have found that women in communities are the real source for sustainable change. When women in the community start to get results, men eventually join in. In much the same way that the Cosmic Mother can spark change or a movement forward, Outreach works with women to do the same in their own communities.

ARCH/I'O 'IKE (experience) of the Month First, I just want to say a big "mahalo nui loa" for the Voices of the Ancestors class. I truly feel like I've found my calling, or should I say one of my callings.
Also, I wanted to share with you a photo I took a few months ago while on a trip to Leh, India. Leh is a small but beautiful high altitude city nestled in the Himalayas close to the border with China. The people who live there are mostly Tibetan Buddhists so you can imagine how serene and spiritual it felt there. One morning I took a photo of a doorway in the beautiful 17th century palace that dominates the landscape as well as the city that sprawls below it. When I looked at this photo moments later I was delighted to see two perfectly formed white balls sitting in front of this door. During class Laurie mentioned that our guides are pure energy and that their intrinsic form is a ball of energy. As it turned out, I found out during class that my adult guide is a Tibetan Lama. Could one of these white balls be him making himself known to me? I wonder.
